Developed to reduce wasted energy, this unit pre-heats water using heat from the gas exhaust, meaning you'll use less energy.
How does it work?
The C7 has a secondary heat exchanger which utilises the exhaust gas to help pre-heat the water. It is due to this feature that the unit doesn't need to use as much energy to heat your water to the right temperature, saving not only the environment, but also money on your energy bills. And what's even better, is that it comes with a 12 year heat exchanger warranty for your own peace of mind!
It's nice and easy for your plumber to install, and can also operate under lower pressures, making it ideal for those situations where your water pressure may be a bit lower.
Just how efficient is it?
The C7 is 15% more efficient (when comparing the 26NG50C with the Thermann 26NG50). And this is all tested to Australian Standards too. It's not only more efficient, it also scores pretty well on it's energy rating. The C7 has achieved a star rating equivalent to 7.3 stars (for the 50°C pre-set model when tested to AS 4552).
Combine that with it's quality Japanese manufacture, it's excellent market-leading warranty, and the cost savings you'll achieve over time, you've got yourself a very handy unit to provide your home with constant hot water.
Control your own temperature
Continuous flow hot water systems have the added benefit of including optional controllers, and the Thermann C7 continuous flow unit has the option of a universal controller. Up to three controllers can be installed per continuous flow unit.
Do I have to have one?
No, you don’t have to install controllers. Your unit will still function without them.
Why should I have one (or more)?
Primarily they are recommended for safety. Controllers are designed to be placed in areas such as bathrooms or ensuites, kitchens and laundry rooms. While adults may be able to withstand hotter temperatures for longer, children cannot. This is where controllers can become a handy safety feature by controlling the temperature of the water delivered in your bathroom (for example) to prevent potential scalding. It also allows you to set the temperature at the touch of a button to ensure you enjoy a shower at your preferred hot water temperature.
